What is the Northern Colorado Athletic Fund?
The Northern Colorado Athletic Fund (NCAF) is the premier annual fundraising arm of athletics at the University of Northern Colorado. Formerly the Blue & Gold Club, the NCAF incorporates the same goal - excellence in the pursuit of academic and athletic success. The NCAF will build on the tradition of the Blue & Gold Club and position Northern Colorado for success at the Division I level.

Created in 1982 as the UNC Blue and Gold Club, the newly named Northern Colorado Athletic Fund is made up of alumni and friends of the University of Northern Colorado united in an organized effort to serve the University through their particular interest in Intercollegiate Athletics. Dedicated to providing scholarship assistance to qualified student-athletes, the NCAF has provided a much-needed extra measure of support, since revenue from gate receipts and appropriations from the University are insufficient to meet growing athletic scholarship demands. Other important purposes of the NCAF include contributing funds for capital improvements to Northern Colorado athletic facilities and for other athletic activities that are not normally funded through institutional and/or student fee allocation sources.

Comprehensive gift club levels will allow the Department of Athletics to appropriately reward and recognize donors for their generosity and support. Please find the following page for club levels and the benefit fulfillment system.

What do Athletic Scholarships Mean To a Top Athletic Program?
Northern Colorado's move to the NCAA Division I level and its success on the playing field rests upon its ability to attract the best and brightest student-athletes.

NCAF scholarships enable male and female student-athletes to pursue a quality education at one of the region's top universities and participate in an intercollegiate athletic program that competes on a national level.
