Scott Ward came to Greeley and the University of Northern Colorado after serving for nearly three years as assistant sports editor with Sun Newspapers in Kansas City, Mo..
At the Sun, Ward led a staff of five writers in the production of multi-award winning sports sections for six weekly community newspapers.
Prior to his time with the Sun, Ward worked as an assistant statistics editor at The Kansas City Star and as a copy editor and page designer at the Columbia Missourian in Columbia, Mo.
Ward graduated with a bachelor's in journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism in 2004.
He and his wife, Sarah, live in Greeley.
