Head Men's Tennis Coach

Jonathan Casper enters his fifth year as head coach of the UNC men's tennis team.

Last season, Casper led the Bears into the NCAA regional tournament for the third time in as many years. In 2001, he coached the Bears to their second consecutive North Central Conference title and first berth into the NCAA tournament.

Casper was a three-year varsity letterwinner for Pomona/Pitzer Colleges located in Southern California, where he participated on the varsity team that finished in the top-ten in the nation in each of his three years.

He attended Kent Denver High School where he played on the varsity team for four years. While attending Kent, Casper won four regional championships and finished third in the state his senior year. Prior to moving to Greeley, Casper served as the Junior Program Coordinator and Assistant Professional at The Ranch Country Club in Westminster, Colorado for four years. Casper was also head coach at Broomfield High School, which he led to two consecutive regional championships and three consecutive top-ten state rankings.

Casper earned his master’s degree from UNC in sport administration in 2001. He is currently completing his doctoral degree at UNC.
