CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis team (8-6) defeated Northern Colorado (10-7) in their second game in the NCAA Division I Independent tournament this afternoon at Kings Crossings Country Club.

The win marked the Islanders fifth victory in their last six matches, and left A&M-Corpus Christi as the only team in the tournament without a loss.
