CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The University of Northern Colorado women's tennis team completed its first season at the Division I level with a 6-1 win over IPFW at the NCAA Division I Independent Tournament.

At the tournament, UNC defeated Texas-Pan American and IPFW. UNC lost to tourney host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday.

The Bears were able to comeback and defeat IPFW on Saturday after falling behind 1-0 in doubles action. IPFW won the No. 2 & No. 3 doubles matches to earn the doubles' point. But the Bears responded by sweeping the singles action to take the match, 6-1.
