He breaks his own record of 54-7.25 in the shot put from last week at the Don Barrett Air Force Open and his own record of 54-8.25 in the weight throw from the Air Force Invitational earlier this season.

For the men, freshman Josh Keahey, running in his first 400 meters of the season, won the event with a time of 51.71, while fellow freshman Terrence McGaughy was third overall and the second collegian in the 60 meters with a time of 6.89.

Tyler Hoerner and Travis Stanford took the top two collegiate spots and were first and third, respectively in the 800 meters. Hoerner clocked a winning time of 2:00.86, while Stanford ran a 2:01.65. Senior Jeff Vaden was also victorious, winning the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.30, while Richard Mattison was fifth in 8.64. Tyler Short placed third in the triple jump after leaping 44-10.75, while Mattison also finished sixth in the long jump at 22-2.25.

In the women's mile, Brianna Spletstoser finished eighth overall, but was the second collegian to cross the finish line, running a 5:32.10. Ashley Stec and Lauren Iseman placed fifth and ninth in the 800 meters with their times of 2:28.34 and 2:32.06, respectively. Freshman Kelly Coomes and Tali Slafter took third and fourth in the 60 meter hurdles after clocking an 8.86 and 8.93, respectively.

Katie McConnell was the top collegian and finished second overall to Colorado jumps coach Lindsey Malone in the high jump after clearing 5-5 and Slafter posted the third best long jump in school history with her third place jump of 18-5. Brianna Plombon also finished seventh in the long jump after her leap of 17-4.25. Sophomore Meaghan Green continued to throw well, finishing third in the shot put and winning the weight throw with throws of 40-2.25 and 57-2.25, respectively.
