OGDEN, Utah - Northern Colorado freshman Terrence McGaughy was named a co-Big Sky Conference Runner of the Week for his performance at the Ram Open on Saturday. McGaughy shares the honor with Idaho State's Sergio Jones, who is also a sprinter and it is his second award of the year.

McGaughy ran the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.47 and the 200 meter dash in 21.22 to win both events at the Ram Open in Fort Collins on Saturday. Both times met NCAA regional qualifying standards, and McGaughy is the first student-athlete at Northern Colorado to qualify for an NCAA post-season at the Division I level.

McGaughy and the rest of the Bears return to Fort Collins this weekend to compete in the annual Jack Christiansen Invitational. Events are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
