2006: In his finale season with the team, appeared in 21 games, the second highest single-season total in school history, trailing only current teammate Tyler Pearson (24 in 2006) ... all appearances came in relief after being a spot-starter as a junior ... pitched the eighth inning at No. 12 Arkansas (Apr. 19), walking one but helping preserve the Bears 4-2 victory over the nationally-ranked Hogs ... recorded final two outs against Lamar (Feb. 4) at the UTPA Classic, preserving the 11-7 victory and earning his lone save of the season ... pitched an inning allowing two unearned runs against Air Force (Apr. 4) in picking up his lone loss of the season ... pitched 4.2 innings against Nebraska-Kearney (Mar. 14), allowing four hits and three runs (all of which came in his first inning of relief), in settling down the team as they came from behind for a 10-9 extra innings victory ... pitched one inning at No. 29 Wichita State (May 10), walking one and striking out one in what turned out to be a 5-4 Bears loss in 14 innings ... struck out two in 1.1 innings against South Dakota State (Apr. 8) ... had two strikeouts in 1.2 innings against Air Force (Mar. 7), a 7-3 Bears win.
2005: Appeared in 11 games in his first season with the Bears after transferring into the program ... started six games (five on the road) on the mound including March 8 game against Air Force when he recorded his lone victory of the season; in that game lasted five innings, allowing five hits and three runs (two earned) while striking out a career-high seven Falcon batters in 9-3 UNC victory ... also had starts at No. 21 Nebraska (Mar. 15), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Mar. 25), Southern Utah (Apr. 2), Air Force (Apr. 19) and Kansas State (May 15) ... allowed only two earned and two hits in three innings against Southern Utah, in a game he was awarded a no-decision but the Bears eventually won 5-4 ... recorded final out of the game against Wichita State (May 11), getting All-American Mike Pelphrey to fly out to center field ... played summer baseball with the St. Joseph (Mo.) Saints of the MINK league; played with teammates Devin Warner and Seth Gilleland ... set MINK league records for appearances (22), saves (10) and ERA (1.74) while compiling a 4-1 record as a relief pitcher.
