DENVER, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado men's basketball team won its second striaght game of the season, by besting Holy Names (Calif.) 83-60 in the opening game of the Runners Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Metro State on Friday.

UNC (2-2) was led by 14 points from sophomore big man Josh Nigut, who reached double figures for the second consecutive game after only scoring 10-plus points once during his freshman campaign.

Three other UNC starters, Kevin Knudson (13), Sean Nolen (12) and Parish Brockman (12) each added double figure points.

UNC shot 63.3% from the field in the second half and 56.1% for the game from the field.

UNC will be back in action on Saturday night when they battle Grand View (Iowa) at 5:00 p.m.
