Wrestling Drops Home Finale 25-16 To Cal State Fullerton :: Bears Fight But Fall Short Against 24th-ranked Titans

GREELEY, Colo. - In its final home meet of the season, the University of Northern Colorado wrestling team dropped a 25-16 match to 24^th-ranked Cal State Fullerton. The Bears move to 6-6 in dual action, while the Titans improve to 13-5.

Prior to the match the Bears honored four seniors for their hard work and dedication to the sport in Blayze Bahe, Richard Lohr and Reece Hopkin along with senior athletic trainer Brett Ritter.

The Bears won three of the 10 weight classes for 16 points, while the Titans scored 25 in their seven victories.

The action got underway with 125-pounds, where sophomore Tony Mustari pinned Andre Gonzales in 6:22. The Titans won the next four weight classes with one for extra points before junior Devan Lewis recorded a major decision over Ted Bristol, winning 9-0. CSF won the next three classes before sixth-ranked Wade Sauer had to default the match after the first period against Hopkin.

The Bears wrap up their dual season Tuesday, February 26 at Wyoming and then head to the NCAA West Regionals on March 9.
