Greeley, COLO. -- University of Northern Colorado senior forward Marika Johnson was recently named to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-West Region third team. Johnson, who is majoring in exercise science, earned a 3.80 GPA. Elizabeth Winkelbeck of Northern Arizona was the only other Big Sky player named to the list.

Johnson was named to ESPN The Magazine All-District team for the second year in a row and was named to the All-Big Sky second team.

Johnson ended the 2007 season with 15 shots on goal, three goals and two assists and helped the Bears reach the first Big Sky Championship in school history.
