LARAMIE, Wyo. - In spring action the University of Northern Colorado women's soccer team traveled to the Wyoming Indoor Tournament. The Bears defeated the University of Denver and Colorado School of Mines by scores of 1-0, with sophomore Sydney Vander Velde scoring the winning goal in against Mines. Against Wyoming, junior Teresa Prais scored from almost 50 yards out to lead the Bears to a 2-2 draw.
"It was the first time playing 11v11 this spring so the first game against a very good Denver team was tough," said head coach Tim Barrera, "Saturday was a good first day for us."
The Bears continue spring action on March 31 when they face Regis University.
