Sarah Easter Position: Diving Coach (4th season) Alma Mater: Colorado State, 1997

Sarah Easter enters her third season as Diving Coach for the Northern Colorado swimming and diving program in 2006-07.

Easter, who brings a wealth of diving experience both as a prep athlete at Thompson Valley High School and as a collegiate student-athlete at Colorado State University, had a stellar first year as the program's diving coach. She helped the Bears to a first-place finish at the House of Champions Invitational to conclude the season and picked up Diving Coach of the Year honors. At the meet, she helped senior Veronica Lucas to a first-place finish in 1-meter diving and a fourth-place finish in 3-meter, which earned her co-Diver of the Year honors.

In her second season with the program she helped Lauren Tucci to a sixth place finish in the 3-meter and Oakley Johnson to an eighth place finish in 1-meter diving at the season-ending Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships.

At Thompson Valley, Easter was a two-time state diving champion (1990, 1992), the CHSSA Diver of the Year and a former CHSAA record-holder who helped her team to the state championship in 1991. Her score of 479.75 set in 1992 currently ranks 11th all-time in Colorado prep diving history. She earned the Colorado Sports Woman of the Year Award for swimming in 1993 and was inducted into the Thompson Valley High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.

At CSU, Easter was the team captain during her senior season (1997) and helped her team to the 1996 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championship.

Before joining the Bears' staff, Easter was the head diving coach at Windsor High School in 2003. She has also been an assistant diving coach with the NORCO Diving USD Club in Fort Collins since March 2004.

She was formerly the head diving coach at Thompson Valley High School, Loveland High School and R2-J Middle School in 1996 and then again from 1999-01. She worked with the Fort Collins Diving Club (1999-01) and the Snow Devil Diving Club in Loveland (1996-99) as well.

Easter received her bachelor of science degree in psychology from Colorado State in 1997.
