HOUSTON, Texas - Competing in its second conference championship of the year, the Northern Colorado swimming & diving team is in fourth place after the first day of the Conference USA Championship. The Bears are an invitational member to the championship and have 56 points. Rice leads with 74 after two women's events.

 

The Bears finished fourth in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:47.81. Nan Liu swam the opening leg, followed by Tori Gutt, Chesney Randolph and Becca Getz. In the 800 freestyle relay, the quartet of Katie Schmitt, Randolph, Jennifer Betts and Getz finished sixth with a time of 7:49.45.

 

Northern Colorado will continue competition through Saturday, March 1.
